- The crawl space wing ( From Science room down to the end of hallway) has the piping installed to connect the fans to create the intended negative pressure to lower the radon levels below 4pCi/l. The fans will be installed April 12, 2015 and activated April 14th .
- Conducted Sub slab communication (AKA. Pressure Field Extension) testing. This quantitative process is part of an assessment of sub-slab pressure field extension beneath a concrete slab floor. This work completed will allow us to complete the written specifications and drawings to bid the installation of the rest of the radon mitigation system this summer. Note: Gym is radon free; no work in that area.
- During last week and part of this week we have been testing old concrete tunnels used in the 1950s to carry all the steam pipes throughout the old building. Bruce is currently evaluating the data. We are not sure of the impact these tunnels will have on movement of radon. We should have the results soon.
